Description: 

Here the word topotype is defined as specimens collected in the same sample as the type material (lectotype and paralectotypes) of the given species. These valves were re-sorted in the 60s or 70s from the sediment sample from the HMS Challenger expedition. Therefore, these valves were not studied by Brady (1880) and they are consequently NOT types of Neonesides woodwardiana.
